Since the coasters are cut and engraved with a laser, they will have a pleasant campfire smell that will dissipate in time.
Each coaster measures 4" square and has a cork bottom. The coasters are sprayed with a matte clear coat to help prevent rings, but there's still a chance rings can happen depending on the amount, frequency, and length of time liquids sit on the coasters.
